Compassion Ministry

The Storehouse

Our goal is to provide food and clothing to our church family, our community and to other ministries that are outside of Hope and Life Fellowship.  Food is picked up seven days each week from three local supermarkets. We distribute food from The Storehouse three times weekly Monday 9:30 - 11:00 a.m., Tuesday and Thursday 5:00 - 6:30 p.m., and Saturday 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.

Second Saturday

On the second Saturday of each month we go into the inner city of Atlanta, there we preach, teach, prepare breakfast and give sack lunches to 80 to 120 homeless people.  Our vision is to reach as many people as possible by starting new outreaches and to become God's hand extended.

Nursing Home

This ministry involves people responding to Jesus’ command to “Feed My Sheep”.  We are concerned for and pray for their needs.  Ministering Care involves visiting the sick, providing meals, prayer, and nurturing people, greeting the body of Christ and encouraging a deeper relationship with God.

Angel Food

Monthly we partner with Angel Food Ministries to provide families the opportunity to purchase grocery items at a very cost effective price.  Each month the opportunity is given to receive these items for the low cost of $30.00.  There are also monthly specials available for extra cost to the main menu price.  Menus are available at the information centers in the lobby or you can also visit Angel Food on the web at www.angelfoodministries.com.

 Fire House Youth

Meeting in a converted firehouse in Snellville, Fire House Youth comes together every Wednesday at 7:14 p.m. to fellowship and connect with students in our community. What God is doing is real and we invite you to come out and take part in what is going on. We have plenty of opportunities for you to get involved! There is our Youth Praise band, a student discipleship program called the Joshua Team, our very own Media Team, the dance team Pulse, and our drama team The Awakening. Fire House Youth Ministries uses the acrostic WORLD to express its purpose which is to Worship God flat out, Open our arms to those in need, Reach the lost at any cost, Learn the fullness of God's word, and Develop relationships with other believers. We strive to show today's teens the reality of who God is and what He can do in and through their lives. Visit us at http://www.firehouseyouth.org.

 Josiah Generation Kingdom Kids

In the Bible, young King Josiah changed an entire nation through his faith and trust in God.  At Josiah Generation Kingdom Kids, we believe that children are the church of today!  Children have a special place in the heart of God and in His plan for this world.  Kids don’t have to wait for “someday” when they are “grown up” to be a mighty influence for the Lord.  The same Holy Spirit power that God gives adults, He also gives to kids who trust Him, love Him, and who want to be a witness for Him.  We believe that “it is better to build a child than to repair a man”, so here at Josiah Generation Kingdom Kids, we cultivate a child’s trust and love for God through dynamic, age appropriate ministry.  There’s no babysitting philosophy here.  Our weekly services and ongoing ministry include dynamic worship and Bible teaching, prayer, fun and exciting games that drive home the weekly teaching, fellowship during snacks and activities, opportunities for kids to minister to the Lord through giving and helping to lead worship, Vacation Bible School, Campmeeting Kids, and much more!  If your child is age 5-12, they are invited to experience the dynamic ministry of Josiah Generation Kingdom Kids.  Our weekly services are Sunday 8:00 a.m.; this is our breakfast club service as Continental Breakfast is served for all kids, 9:30 a.m., and 11:30 a.m., also Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.  If a generation of children in love with the Lord is your idea of children’s ministry, Josiah Generation Kingdom Kids is just the place to help your kids to become world changers like young King Josiah.

 Little Adventures Nursery

The Nursery is a part of the education ministries at Hope and Life Fellowship. It is a planned program for children ages 6 weeks to 4 years of age.  The Nursery offers books, music, art and games. We have prayer and Bible stories.  Our curriculum is biblically based and offers a teaching topic for each week. We help strengthen their ability to establish healthy relationships with children their own age.  Our Mission is to provide a program dedicated to making a positive learning experience for young children, and one that begins to pave the way for each child to come to know Jesus as their personal Savior and Lord.

 Music & Fine Arts

The Hope and Life Fellowship Music and Fine Arts Ministry exist to honor God through music and worship; it is our privilege to lead worshipers in our congregation. The music ministry is comprised of the Voices of Life Choir and the Hope and Life Praise Team. Additionally, soloists who participate in the choir have the opportunity to perform special music at various times throughout the year.  Choir membership is open to all interested persons. The choir is made up of music enthusiasts with varying degrees of music preparation. Though a voice for singing is desired, a heart for worship and willingness to learn is more important. Praise Team members are selected from the choir by the music pastor.

 Master’s Commission

Master's Commission is a 9 month, hands-on, discipleship and ministry training opportunity that provides an incredible growth environment for young people 18-30 who desire to know God and to make Him known.   This is a time to get God's attention and give Him yours.  This multi-faced experience includes practical training in a variety of ministries and outreaches, in-depth Bible classes and study, personal mentoring, and the development of a powerful and effective daily devotional life.   More than just another program, Master's Commission is really a lifestyle that answers the question, "What could God do with and in my life if I completely surrendered to him for nine months?” The Atlanta Master's Commission can be viewed at www.atlmc.net.
